The Young Generation Who Create and Lead.

Global crisis which happened in United State of America caused the negative effect to the economics of every country in this world. Crisis that begined from the extension of credit on a large scale (Subprime Mortgage) done by financial institution experiences loss, so that cause to lost it society belief towards financial institution. financial institution related with global finance market influences economics stability in the whole of  the world, finally causes global crisis.

Indonesia previously had experienced a financial crisis which severe enough in the year 1997 - 1999, which was also due to the banks. The economic crisis that occurred in Indonesia in 1998 is the effect of the crisis that occurred in Asia. Financial crisis was caused by three main things, that are fundamentally, vulnerabilities and market panic, the end to the strike Indonesia nadir point, that make the change in leadership.

Indonesia is one of the countries that are in the world economy. This position  which caused Indonesia participated in the global sense of crisis which  happening now. if observed more, Indonesia does not feel the more impact, compared to countries - neighboring countries that entrust to the export economy. The Impact which felt in India is in decrease on oil prices. This would be good news for the public, because the auto fuel price will also decrease. The impact of economic recession the U.S. and Europe to Indonesia of course negative, but because the net-export (export minus import) moves only about 8% of gross domestic product (GDP) of Indonesia, the impact is relatively small compared with the neighboring countries that export to the U.S. dependency of large, such as Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia. Although the impact is not too large, when the global financial crisis and the global bank that is not long continue to be healthy will give a bad impact for Indonesia, because the financing of investment activities in Indonesia (by both employers as well as in overseas) will continue to wane, energy absorption work and consequently slowed the buying power go down, which ultimately will reduce economic growth

Strategic BPS data of August 2008 shows the number of labor force of 111.4 million Indonesian people. Of these there were 9.42 million (8.48%) are unemployed people who live in open countryside 4,186,703 people (44.4%) in urban areas and 5,240,887 people (55.6%). Then the poor Indonesia at this time to reach 34.96 million (15.42%) with the composition of 22,189,122 people (63%) are in the village and 12,770,888 people (37%) in the city. Based on the above facts, it is need necessary efforts to reduce unemployment and poverty in both urban and rural.

Youth is still be the heart of national renewal. Contribution and pace of youth in all sectors are expected to contribute in the raising of the nation which now become the multidimensional crisis. Changes spirit of youth must always run and embedded. Because, in any condition, the youth is balancer potential to become a kind of control system for the social space around it.

This challenge is not always run in the linier. It also with the Indonesian youth movement which is always stay in a fluctuation movement. Sometimes it stays in the forward line and sometimes it climbs, but it also often experience the crisis period. If the youth is experiencing a critical condition, this indicates the greater challenge. There is a system that does not run that tends to weaken the role and power of youth as agents of social change.

Now the existence of youth as a reformer and the successor generation for the future is more paralyzed and vulnerable. This view is supported by the fact that most of youth are trapped in some behaviors that are no longer productive. They tend to be consumer in all things. The pop culture that run into the youth lifestyle become a social fact that squeeze and press the youth behaviour in our nation today. For example, drug abuse and free sex behavior increased. Awareness to the condition of the nation and the state is no longer effect the various behaviors of the youth.

The future challenges for the Indonesian people and other nations in the world  will be far greater than a century ago. Economic conditions continue squeeze many countries in the world, which in the future will be a major explosion that could threaten the integrity of Indonesia and other countries, if it does not be anticipated with the recent young men who qualified as a leader of the future.

Global economic crisis at this time may will be the beginning for the new formation of economy in the world in the future, as the global crisis in about 1930 override to the Europe. So, if young people are still decorated by behavior that is no longer productive and apathetic with the condition of their nation, there will be a big gap for their nation.

Besides troubleshoot that appears the young people is the difficulty in looking for a job is dominant, and it is become more difficult with the economic conditions whch continue in a crisis. Competition in search of work sometimes impact on the company sides that less on the youth because they do not have the experience. In addition to the belief in youth as a new young enterpreneur still in a very little parts from both the Bank and other donors.

From some problems which faced by Indonesian young people, so the State Ministry of Youth and Sports develop the Youth Entrepreneurship program, they are: 1) The Youth Entrepreneurship Program through the youth organization, 2) The Bussines Groups of Productive Youth (BGPY), and 3)  The Youth Entrepreneurship Program through Scholar Activator of Rural Development  (SP3). Program goals and activities of the above provision is to provide quality workmanship alive and relevant to the business / industrial world that can be used as stock for youth to find work for the sustenance of life and improving the quality of work. For youth these programs are highly contextual to the needs of the youth in various areas especially in rural areas. This program is expected to be able to drive the youth to face the challenges in passing the future that is more dignified. This wisdom synergistic is expected to be able to improve the efforts for empowerment, development, and protection for youth. In principle, these programs are consistent with the paradigm of youth as the vanguard of social change in community conditions.

According to the Minister of Youth and Sport of Indonesia, Dr. Adhyaksa Dauth, M.Si., that many problems of this country made the challenge which must be faced by the youth, are also increasingly complex. Therefore, to make a better formulate for the role of youth, then they can  be creative potential, they are, a strategic program of Scholar Activator of Rural Development (SP3). This program is one of the programs model to reduce the poverty and unemployment in rural areas, with the involvement of educated young people or higher degree.  Which more based on empowerment, so that the community do not felt given fish, but given a fishing hook. So that they can develop their economic sector.

Sustainability of the program can run well if people can trust the youth to make changes, where people are expected become one of the controllers for youth activities, among the members of the community must have sense of mutual care, and cooperate work in overcoming crisis. Support is not only needed from the surrounding community but also from government policies and other institutions both nationally and internationally will be able to accelerate the role of youth in developing world economic community.

Here it is the importance of youth expected to be able to give more value to the nation. Through programs that proclaimed by Minister of Youth and Sport of Indonesia in youth empowerment, so youth expected to be delivered - the youth who have a high self-confidence, who able to work and create, who has a superior competitiveness, who able to work together and have a sense of social awareness. Values normative will spur on their work ethics, productivity,  independence and to increase dignity and teak himself as a man, because these values humanities is currently  weak among the youth.

The activities in 2009 in China - ASEAN youth camp is a form of responsibility to incorporate the youth vision in developing and increasing the role of youth in the global economic crisis. The agreement expected to establish a global program that can be applied in each country to enhance the role of youth in the rise of the world economic crisis. So the trust to the youth as change agents will be increased.
